Grand Canyon Vacation
June 2006

In June of 2006, for our 20th Wedding Anniversary, I surprised Tammy with a gift she really wanted: a trip to see the Grand Canyon. I panned a 7-day trip; we would spend two days and one night inside the Grand Canyon National Park, and for my own amusement, we would travel there and back on the Grand Canyon Scenic Railroad from Williams, Arizona. I wanted to include the whole family, so I booked us into Las Vegas with tickets to see the Blue Man Group for Taylor, and a chill horseback ride through the canyons for Rachael that turned out to be in the hot, barren, desert. So Sit back and enjoy these highlights our trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon:

Quick Clips

We arrive in Las Vegas and make our way to our hotel. It's early to bed, for we have an early morning breakfast date with horses. Then were off to Williams, Arizona to explore a bit before we catch the train to the Grand Canyon.

We spend the day at the Canyon before catching the train back to Williams and a stop at the Hoover Dam. We catch the Blue Man Group before heading back home.

We stop in a Luxor Kiosk and take a bird's eye tour all around Las Vegas on a magic carpet.
