William Morris' Garage was purchased in 1952 by British Motor Corporation (BMC) who made the MGB from 1962 until 1968. BMC became British Leyland in 1968, and continued to produce the MGB until 1980. the MGB re-entered production as the heavily modified MG RV8 with a limited run of 2,000 cars built by Rover through 1995. The Chinese company SAIC owns the MG marque today.
